The automotive industry is entering a new era of connectivity and software-driven capability. In this session, Fivos Panagiotopoulos will examine how connected vehicle technologies and Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) are reshaping risk assessment, repair processes and insurance considerations.
Topics Covered:
Connected vehicle technologies and how modern vehicles communicate, exchange information and share data.
The implications for insurers, including risk modelling, vehicle repair complexity and claims considerations.
Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and the growing influence of software on vehicle engineering and diagnostics.
Data requirements for accident investigation, with Fivos seeking direct feedback from Institute Members and Traffic Accident Investigators regarding the vehicle data most valuable in real-world investigations.
A feedback form will be provided to enable attendees to contribute to ongoing research being undertaken by Thatcham Research.
